We are committed to better identifying and supporting young people with or at risk for depression and related mental health problems.
Much of our work to identify individuals with depression uses digital tools (e.g., smartphones) to detect and predict symptoms, with the goal of identifying individuals with depression earlier and providing opportunities for early or just-in-time intervention.
We also are developing, evaluating, and disseminating digital interventions to make evidence-based support more scalable, accessible, and appealing to those who need it. This work includes research on single-session interventions and app-based interventions for youth.
